After
January's catastrophic earthquake, Haiti - already the poorest nation
in the Americas - is still struggling to "escape misery so we can get
back to poverty" (words of Prime Minister Bellerive).
The most vulnerable in the country, the children with no family to support them, have an impossible future without our help.
The Haiti Orphanage Reconstruction Project joined forces with Habiquad,
a private company dedicated to building economically feasible,
environmentally intelligent, energy efficient, safe and sturdy permanent
houses. Active in 6 countries, Habiquad employs the local workforce in
administration, manufacturing, and construction.
